New Debit Cards Are On The Way!
Get ready! You’ll soon have a new debit card in your mailbox. To comply with a new Visa change, we are reissuing debit cards to most of our membership. If your current debit card does not start with the numbers 4701-0900, 4701-0901, or 4701-0902, keep an eye out for a new card soon.

Why is Southeast Financial upgrading their debit cards? No need to worry. Your current debit card information is safe and secure. This new debit card rollout is part of our commitment to continuously improving the benefits and services we deliver to our members.
Will I still have the same card number? No. All cardholders will have new card numbers. Visa debit card numbers were required to change as the industry is moving to a more secure 8-digit BIN (the leading numbers on your card). Any recurring or preauthorized charges you have on your current debit card will need to be updated to the new debit card number. This includes payments for utilities, gyms, and online merchants such as Netflix and Amazon.
Will my PIN stay the same? You will be required to set your PIN for your new Visa debit card. There will be a phone number on your letter and a sticker on the card for you to call to activate your card and set your PIN. You can set your PIN to the same number as your old card or update it to a new number.
Will my new card be compatible with a mobile wallet (Google Pay, Apple Pay)? Yes. For Apple, Samsung, and Google Pay, members will need to add their new debit card information to their digital wallets and remove their old card.
Do I need to update my card information with merchants for recurring payments? Yes, members will need to update any merchants that automatically pull payments from their debit card to their new debit card information. We encourage you to review your account statement to find all merchants that will need to be contacted.
How long will my current debit card work after the conversion? Your old card will work until December 31. Please be sure to activate your new card before then.
When will I get my new debit card? New cards are being sent in batches every two weeks. All members should receive their new card by December 14, 2024.
What if I do not receive my new card? Please contact Member Service at 615-743-3700 and they’ll assist you with ordering a replacement card.
